Condition of goods

Condition of the Item

The first letter indicates the condition of the record, and the second the condition of the cover.
For CDs, the condition of the booklet and back cover is indicated, not the plastic case,
as this can easily be replaced (except for digipaks).

M = New, often still sealed

M- = Mint condition, very good condition, minimal signs of use

VG+ = Very good condition, slight surface marks, cover has minor flaws

VG = Good condition, record has various hairline scratches or surface marks,
cover shows signs of wear (price tear, ring wear, possibly worn cover edge), typical condition for second-hand items

VG- = Significant wear, heavy surface scratches, cover worn, stains, tears, etc.

G = Very poor condition, record crackles a lot, cover is tattered and is rated as neutral cover, only worthwhile for collector's items
